The EPG (Electronic Programme Guide), provides you with the most up-to-date programme schedules 7 days in advance. To access the EPG simply click the ‘TV Guide’ or 'EPG' button on your decoder remote control and follow the simple instructions.

OSN ON DEMAND is the first video on demand service in the Middle East with your favourite movies, series and sporting events made available in an easy and convenient way to enhance your viewing pleasure.

To receive OSN you need an OSN HD decoder box, to be properly installed using the appropriate Dish & LNB PLUS an OSN subscription Smart Card.

• Press the Menu button on remote control
• Select Advanced Options from the list and press OK
• Select Dish Installation and press OK
• Enter the code 9949 and press OK
• Select Scan All Networks and press OK
• Wait 5 minutes
  

PARENTAL CONTROL gives you the ability to choose which channels or even which programmes can be viewed in your home. The OSN rating system (Fam to 18), on screen communication highlighting the suitability of certain programmes and the technology in our decoder provides you with all the control you need to easily restrict or completely block certain programmes or channels as you want.

Please refer to your decoder model below:

UEC / Coship / Showbox

• Press the ‘Menu’ on your Remote Control
• Select ‘Parental Control’ and press “OK”
• Enter the default PIN ‘1234’. This will bring up the ‘Parental Control’ option
• Select ‘Service Blocking’ and press ‘OK’
  This will bring up the ‘Service Blocking Bouquet selection’ displaying the Bouquet list. You can choose the service you need to block from any Bouquets.

• Highlight the desired bouquet and press ‘OK’
• Use the ‘??’ button on your remote to and select the service you intend to block.
• Press the ‘?’ to move the selected service to the ‘Blocked’ column on the right
• Once all selected services have been moved press ‘OK’

Once when the Service List is processed, the Bouquet selection screen will be displayed. If services from some other bouquets need to be blocked it can be selected from this screen and continue the steps explained as above. If not press ‘Exit’

Technosat

• Press "Menu" press the down arrow "CH&?" select "Organizing Services" and then press "OK".
• Enter the password "0000"
• Select "Lock" option and press "OK".
• Highlight the channels to Lock and press "OK" a (LOCK) symbol will be displayed alongside the selection indicating the channel is locked.
• Once you locked the required channels, continue to press "exit" until returned to the viewing channel.
  (Note: If you need to unlock the channels back highlight them and press "OK").

We are currently updating the EPG software so it's even easier and faster to use. You may find that your TV screen goes blank for a very short period of time, please do not switch off your decoder during this period

Stereo Sound

OSN transmits its signals in digital format. This gives high quality picture with CD quality sound and the possibility to deliver Dolby Pro-Logic surround sound providing you have this equipment. We aim to transmit all our programmes in stereo, whenever possible and you can rely on Showmovies, MTV and VH-1 to provide stereo sound in unrivalled quality.

To listen in stereo will either need a Stereo TV set or a Stereo Hi-Fi amplifier. Most new TV sets have either AV-Left-Right input/output, a SCART input or both.

If you have a stereo TV set

Connect the AV-Left-Right output located at the back of your decoder, into the AV-Left-Right input located at the back of your TV using stereo phono connectors. This is a simple, straight forward connection which will allow you to hear great stereo sound selectable from your Stereo TV set.

If you have a stereo Hi-Fi

Connect the AV-Left-Right output located at the back of your decoder, into the AV-Left-Right input located at the back of your Stereo usually marked either VCR, AUX or TV. Then in order to enjoy the Stereo sound you will need to switch your stereo on the VCR, AUX or TV input and turn your TV to the desired channel and just enjoy the sound.

If you have both, a Stereo TV and a Stereo Amplifier

Connect the AV-Left-Right output located at the back of your decoder, into the AV-Left-Right input located at the back of your TV. Then connect the AV-Left-Right output located at the back of your TV, into the AV-Left-Right input located at the back of your Stereo usually marked either VCR, AUX or TV. Then in order to enjoy the Stereo sound, you will need to switch your stereo on the VCR, AUX or TV input and turn your TV to the desired channel and just enjoy the sound.

If you have a VCR

If you have a non-Stereo VCR then it is not recommended to connect your AV-Left-Right from the decoder directly into your VCR as this will eliminate the stereo sound and convert it to mono. It is best to connect the UHF output from your decoder to the UHF input of your VCR. Then tune the VCR as if you were tuning any other channel (See your VCR manual for details on how to tune your VCR). Then connect the AV-Left-Right output located at the back of your decoder, into the AV-Left-Right input located at the back of your TV or Stereo.

"E-45 Searching For Signal At .."

75% of E45 on-screen messages can be resolved by rebooting the decoder. Digital decoders are like computers and they may occasionally freeze or "lock-up". Disconnect the power to the decoder by unplugging the wall socket and re-plugging it. This should rectify most cases.

"E-16 Service Is Currently Scrambled"

Check that you are watching an OSN channel to which you have subscribed. To refresh your signal you can: -
